Added Rehearsals!

March 23, 2010

It has come to my attention that we will in fact be able to hold rehearsals the week of April 6th-9th.  The added rehearsals are on the following days:

  • Wednesday, April 7th 3:30-5:00
  • Friday, April 9th 3:30-5:00

If you have a reason that you can not attend these rehearsals, please let Ms. Kothlow know as soon as possible. Since these rehearsals are not on your contract, absences that I am informed of at least a week prior will be excused absences.

See you in rehearsal!

Spring Break is here!

March 5, 2010

Please remember the following:

  • Memorization deadline for songs and lines  is Monday, March 22nd. Practice lines with family and friends
  • Shoes deadline is Monday, March 22nd. Please bring them to rehearsal
  • Character Questionnaires are due on Monday, March 22nd in rehearsal. Make them colourful and thoughtful. These will be displayed in the theatre lobby during performance week
  • Look at the Costume and Make-up Requirements (on the tab link above) to plan ahead. You could organize this over Spring Break so you are prepared in advance
  • Walk around your house in character. How would your character make your bed? How would your character have a drink of water? What would your character be thinking to themselves when they look out the window.
  • See you on the 22nd! Have a lovely break!

Southpointe MYP Musical has begun!

January 13, 2010

This year’s musical is the funny and upbeat comedy, THE MUSIC MAN JUNIOR. This show is set in 1912 Iowa, and tells the story of a traveling salesman, Harold Hill, who comes to town to sell the people the hope of a marching band.

This website will give you lots of important information about our musical over the next four months. See the bar just above this post? This leads you to pages for more specific information. The cast will need to check the Rehearsal tab every Sunday, so they know when to come to rehearsals the following week.

If this doesn’t answer all your questions, please feel free to email me: alysha.kothlow@spacademy.ca.
